Many years of experience, training and special education in gerontology make the employees of the Institute professionally competent for care of the old age population. Institute has 327 health-care workers and consultants.
- 29 specialist doctors: general practitioners, internists,
neuropsychiatrist, clinical pharmacologists, physical medicine, social medicine and epidemiology; of whom 4 doctors with Doctor of Science degree, 9 Masters of Science,
3 specialist doctors with subspecialisation in gerontology, and 7 chief of staffs. - 1 dentist

The Institute supports all kinds of staff development (specialisation, subspecialisation, master studies, doctoral studies, and professional training of the nurses).
